This is a bug tracking tool.
During software development, keeping track of bugs found, corrected and the ones successfully closed need to be tracked. This can be a major issue in any sizable software development as hundreds or even thousands of bugs may appear during the development life cycle. Tracking these without the help of automation will be impossible. This is a tool that tracks every bug, issue and defect quite easily. Since even extended testing is not guaranteed to catch all the bugs in a software system, it is essential that one is able to make qualitative judgments as to the severity of the bugs. The software tool needs to allow marketing judgment calls like priority. High priority is assigned to a bug, according to marketing, that will affect the acceptance of the product by end users. Low priority bugs are quite often ignored when deciding about when the software product is to be released to market.
The bug tracking takes care of notifying concerned people and sending them alerts as changes happen to the bugs/issues. The reporting, status changes and closure of bugs is a process set up according to a specific organization’s work flow. The interface is quite intuitive and just about most users should be able to get productive with it in a short time. This product is not meant for all users but the specialized breed that is the software developers and testers. The interface helps keeping all the bugs and issues well organized. The utility comes with backup support. Backup and update schedules can be decided by the administrator of the tool. This is a very good product. Best way to test this out is to use this in actual workflow.
